DEVO is an international event dedicated to large developers, with 5 thematic areas: office, retail, industrial-logistics mixed and public projects, which promote representative developments worldwide, projects that build communities and develop cities. DEVO follows the evolution of large-scale building projects in 3 significant stages: vision, investment, development.
The 2020 edition is dedicated to those who continue to build in Romania.
One Tower is one of 4 towers in the One Floreasca City project. The buildings are designed to operate independently but with a shared courtyard and access.
Globalworth Campus will comprise three main office towers offering 92,500 sqm of GLA and 960 parking spaces. Tower 1 has 29,000 sqm, Tower 2 has 28,000 sqm and Tower 3 has 35,500 sqm.
Eli Park is 20 minutes from Bucharest, with an area of 50,000 square meters. In addition, the space offers quick access to the biggest roads. The project was developed by Element Industrial.
The project was created with the aim of realising a multifunctional building, which included a mixed programme of offices, residences and amenities, covering a total floor area between 50,000 m2 and 75,000 m2.
The New National Wholesale Market has been nominated in 2019 to the Prize of the Equerre d’Argent in France in the Category “Activities” and to the MIPIM Awards in the category “Best industrial and logistics development” in 2020.
UP! Berlin is a project that aims to transform East Berlin’s Former Shopping Mall into a transparent Mixed- Use Office Building. The biggest challenge was to bring natural lighting into the massive building block.

Jonathan Diamantino founded Zacaria, headquartered in Sibiu, 15 years ago, together with the Alf Mizzi & Sons group of companies, which was founded in Malta in 1915. A graduate of the Faculty of Law, he started his activity within the Nordis team in 2011, in the role of real estate consultant. Due to his passion for real estate and his detailed understanding of his clients’ needs, he soon became a top earner among his colleagues. He was promoted to Sales Director at the real estate developer Nordis, where he formed a professional team of real estate agents with extensive national and international experience. In 2017 he sold the most expensive apartment in Bucharest, promoted at a value of 2,900,000 euros plus VAT. A year and a half ago he became a Senior Partner of Nordis Group and currently, as a Managing Partner, he coordinates the sales activity and is actively involved in all the group’s projects.

The MIN de Nantes distributes food for 2 million people in western France. With an area of 92.000 sqm, it is the second biggest wholesale market for fresh food in France after the one in Paris, the construction being completed in 2019. The project is located on the edge of the city of Nantes and the countryside forming an active interface between the consumers and the producers. A great focus has been laid on providing the best working conditions for the employees and the clients in terms of thermic, light and air quality. Three cafés and restaurants are located at strategic positions and provide places for meeting and socializing.

Architect and Director at MVRDV

Architect and Director Gideon Maasland was educated at the Technical University Delft. He has more than 15 years of experience as an architect and joined MVRDV in 2016, where he specialised in the transformation of concepts into buildings. He leads MVRDV’s department for large scale, complex buildings in the Netherlands and abroad.
As a Director, Maasland oversees all the projects in his studio. With his hands-on work method, he is directly involved in the construction of multiple projects, making sure that the expectations for a design are maintained until the building is complete.

The project was created with the aim of realising a multifunctional building, which included a mixed programme of offices, residences and amenities, covering a total floor area between 50,000 m2 and 75,000 m2.
Valley’s three peaks of varied heights reach up to a maximum of 100-meters at which the publicly accessible Sky-bar sits, spread out over the top two stories, offering panoramic views over Amsterdam.
The building consists of 196 apartments, 7 stories of offices, a three-story underground parking with 375 parking spots and various retail and cultural facilities. From street level, a pedestrianised path, running along retails functions, terraces and roof gardens, leads up to the central valley-area spread across the 4th and 5th level and surrounds the central tower. The project derives its name from the publicly accessible terraced valley that is spread out in-between its three mixed-use, towers.
Till now the project won: OVERALL WINNER of the MIPIM Architectural Review Future Projects Award 2020, and the WINNER of the Commercial Mixed-use category and WAN Awards – Silver.

Founder and Director Martin Jasper’s entrepreneurial path started with a consultancy firm for computer aided architectural design back in the early 2000s, during his studies of architecture at Berlin’s University of the Arts. After several years of experience in major studios in development, design, construction and management of projects in Europe and Latin America, Martin founded JASPER ARCHITECTS in Buenos Aires in 2008. The studio’s work started with a strong focus on sustainable design, as well as the exploration of cutting edge technologies for smart building solutions, an area that represents the main topic of Martin’s academic practice.
JASPER ARCHITECTS’ projects now span from urban planning, large-scale office buildings to retail and apartment buildings, including building recycling. The work pursues the integration of innovative ideas and solutions based on extensive research to bring the unique context and condition of each individual project to the fore.

Berlin, Germany
UP! Berlin is a transformation of Berlin’s Former Shopping Mall Galeria Kaufhof am Ostbahnhof into a 65.000 sqm mixed-use office building that will be finished in 2021. The investment was 105 million euros. The project is designed by JASPER ARCHITECTS and will be presented at DEVO by Martin Jasper, the director of the architecture office.
The biggest challenge was to bring natural lighting into the monolithic building block of 80m to 80m. The logical consequence of carving out an inner courtyard was twisted around: the presented idea was to cut triangular shaped prisms on each side of the square building, in order to flood the interior with natural light and by this loosen up the massive monolithic geometry of the existing building. These created voids redefine the building’s urban presence entirely, opening the volume up on all four sides. The voids, as well a strategic terracing and twisting of the floors, optimize views to central Berlin. All floors have access to outdoor communal spaces for working, entertaining and relaxing. For the redesign, the existing Building is stripped down to its structural concrete columns and floorplates, then wrapped in high-quality glass. What was once an interior-focused shopping center has been reimagined as an outwardly-focused center for productivity, creativity and community.

One Tower will have 16 story height with a total GLA of 23,867 sqm, build by the latest technologies. The property will benefit from a 1,400 sq m per floor, with a regular shape, allowing the best of use for natural light as well as an efficient space planning. The Class A office building will offer a unique view over the green areas in the surrounding.
One Tower is expected to obtain the v4 LEED Platinum US Green Building Council Award, one of the highest ratings for environmental impact and performance. The latest improvements to LEED v4, designed to be flexible and improve the overall project experience is based on materials, performance-based, smart grid and water efficiency.

The architecture of the project was made by Dorin Ștefan, and the concept on which the project is based is a synthesis between significant elements in terms of architecture in the area around Brasov, looking, at one end, to the Transylvanian Gothic present throughout the century. XIII century and at the other end, looking at the 1920s when the foundations of the ROMANIAN AERONAUTICAL ENTERPRISE were laid and when the HALA IAR was built with reinforced concrete arches in openings, perforating for those times, of 60 meters.

AFI TECH PARK is a Class A office project consisting of 70,000 sq m GLA. AFI Tech Park 1, the first phase of the project was delivered in 2018, offering 22,000 sq m GLA of Class A office space, efficiently spread over 8 floors serviced by 2 underground parking levels.
