Studio3plus projects include a broad spectrum: horeca, residential, commercial and office spaces and other interventions that are distinguished in a common manner. This manner comes from the way we’ve learned from each others and from the openness with which we make our thoughts clear. The ‘fingerprint’ is in fact the visible part of our partnership and of the care with which we approach a project, regardless of its outcome.
FORO: How can architecture influence the reputation of a hotel?
Dragoș Scurtulescu: The architecture is influenced by the context, which is why a first impression is represented by the location and later the architectural impression.
FORO: What is the specificity of a hospitality project, compared to the other categories of projects?
Dragoș Scurtulescu: The hospitality needs a special warmth and the sense of atmosphere “at home”, in order to more easily assimilate the place. Everything has to be intuitive and easy to navigate, but based on experience.
FORO: What do hotel owners expect from an architect?
Dragoș Scurtulescu: Expectations are high, which is why our desire, as architects, to reach the limits of perception and good function is even greater.
Dragoș Scurtulescu will present the architecture of the SavArt Restaurant at FORO 2020 International Forum for Reputation in Hospitality. Studio3plus team sought a harmonious connection between the inner space of the ground floor and the outer terrace, then articulated progressive passages from one space to another through different materials, textures and shades, following the general visual theme of the natural space that seems to penetrate into the salons of the house, as a guest.
