Arch. Peter Ippolito, Managing Partner, Ippolito Fleitz Group, was the first German interior designer to be admitted to Interior Design magazine’s prestigious Hall of Fame. His multidisciplinary design studio received over 260 international awards for interiors: 2017 Best of Year Awards – Interior Design Magazine Winner Casual Dining, Red Dot Design Award, INsider Award, German Design Award Interior Architecture, Iconic Awards etc.
FORO: How can architecture influence the reputation of a hotel/restaurant?
Peter Ippolito: Architecture can create a recognition value, a unique identity in which the guest is immersed and has an exceptional experience.
Thus the hotel / restaurant is remembered by the visitor on the one hand through the positive experience and on the other hand through iconic design details which are used in the space.
FORO: What is the specificity of a hospitality project, compared to other categories of projects?
Peter Ippolito: Hospitality projects allow the use of storytelling elements and concepts in which guests meet in these inspiring emotional spaces. The visit becomes a shared experience with moments to remember.
